Default Post Khobar attacks - what would you do ?

Im living in the Khobar area - the recent attacks on the Oaisis compound have made us all feel very uncomfortable.
Have been out here a long time - as ex pats out there in the big world - what would you do ? stay or move on ?

I hate the thought of going back to UK - just does not appeal

I lived in khobar 4 years ago having done 9 years, it takes a while living in uk but it can be done having said that now living in Australia but soon returning to uk. I actually worked at the Oasis compound in the Health spa thank god not there now. No amount of money would drag us back there there is more to life.

dobbo,
Would you belive we left UK for Perth, Oz 9 yrs ago and stayed 4 yrs before coming out to Saudi Arabia.

We have kids now so it would have to be UK as there is work available and we would have support from family.

I think we a re a bit spoilt for choice, Oz, UK or somewhere else - we both have transferrable jobs and could work anywhere.
For some reason we have settled very easily into Khobar.

we also had a great time living in khobar made a lot of great friends brought up our children there and at the time felt quite safe. Not so sure now, havent been in oz long but jkust know its not for us but great for a holiday just feel isolated and cant imagine affording airfares on the wages as we have four children.
good luck whatever you choose
keep safe
