Default Possible Move To Qatar

Hi all,

I am seeking some current information on Qatar regarding schooling, nanny arrive and property website;

Schooling;

5 & 7 yr olds with primary focus on British curriculum.

1. Which are the top 3 schools for these ages?

Nanny services;
1. Recommend website to seek services?
2. Typical cost for a nanny?
3. Do Nanny services include driving the kids around?

Property;
1. Any recommendation to alternative search engine than property finder?
2. I am seeking a villa for a family of 4, what would the best location for space and quiet?

Thanks I’m advance 🙏🏽

1. Doha College is one of the best British schools. There are many others like Sherborne Qatar, etc. It is a good idea to pick a school not far from where you live.

I have no idea about nanny questions
re property you can look at Qatar Living, but ideally if you are physically there for a week you can look around and look for yourself rather than remotely searching. As for best place and location depends on your preferences. Some people like to live in West Bay / Perl areas, which considered the high end. Many others live in areas like Ain-Khaled / Abu hamoor. Middle class live in areas like Al Sad. All depends on your budget, preference and life style.

I’ve come across Sherborne but Doha College was for older kids…I’ll double check in this 👍🏽

I think I may have to research nanny’s whilst I’m there/if I get there.

As for living location, I will check on school locations as suggested…I have a budget of approx 25k pm for housing (excluding utilities/serivices). I terms of lifestyle…were are stay at family with days out…not massive activities/days out…our kids are happy with homemade sandwiches while out and about etc…if I can find a home with a decent outdoor space…we would probably be home most weekends. Week nights our kids are in bed by 7:30pm.
