Hi all, I was hoping someone might be able to add a bit of clarity on the comp package please. I have seen from various posts you typically get a 20-30% uplift on salary, and then housing allowance etc, but similarly i have seen posts suggesting that payslip shows c65% as salary and the remainder as benefits - housing etc. So my question is, is the 20-30% uplift you get for the whole package or just the proportion that is officially classed as salary. ie -
£100k UK salary = £130k salary + benefits - so a package of around £200k. any bonus on the £130k
or
£100k = £130 whole package (£85K salary + £45 benefits - housing, schools, flights etc) and any bonus will be on the £85k
Many thanks in advance!

My personal experience was uplift of basic, benefits are hard capped, with little to no wiggle room for negotiation.
It also seems the uplift is becoming less generous..my theory being that some of us had the 20-30% uplift on Saudi wages, and not UK wages..it quickly got expensive I guess. 🤣
