Default PETROL STATIONS OPEN

OK........ your intrepid reporter can confirm that the following places are open this morning:

1 - just along that road that runs behind SZR ( the road nobody can remember the name of ) from the back of the Shangri-La to the back of the Fairmont, they are (quote) "fully stocked" about half-way down on the north/beach side.

2 - Jumeirah Beach Road; if you're heading from Burj Al Arab/JBH towards big mosque/big flag, it's on your right hand side, about 200 yards before the big mosque.

Add your own info, as and when.............

Is the implication that loads are shut then? I filled up at 11pm last night on the emirates road and they only had super. Never before has my Pajero dined so finely.

All I'm seeing everywhere is a row of cones to dissuade you from pulling up alongside the pumps. I filled up at the sixth one I tried.

Haha. Looks like I'm going to get the last laugh. Filled up my tank to the brim a couple of days ago despite my friends telling me there was nothing to worry about . My commute is only JBR to Media City, so I should be fine for at least two weeks.

That said, I do have a trip from Media City to Academic City on Sunday. Hopefully that won't hammer it too much.

Now that is annoying. Nothing in the National/Gulf news this morning on the subject!

All the petrol stations on Emirates Road between Arabian Ranches and Mirdif City Centre were happily filling up cars etc with petrol this morning. And we passed five ENOC tankers which were delivering petrol this morning, too.

Thanks - that is good to know. I guess they will give priority to the trunk roads.

This means I can go to see kung fu panda 2 tomorrow after all.

Oh Dear Indeed! - All those who 'Scoffed' at my previous comment take heed! - The 'Tumbleweed' is already rolling along Sheikh Zayed Road! - Just as predicted!
