Default Perfume into Saudi - problem?

I have access to several perfumes for my wife for VERY good prices (15% of Saudi cost). Trouble is, they are at my sisters in the USA.

I've read there may be issues shipping perfumes etc into Saudi - has anyone done this in the past, or have any firm knowledge as to whether they would be confiscated by Saudi customs?

From what I know, you can't ship liquids in general. Not only to Saudi, but I tried to ship liquids to Qatar, did not work.

At customs at Qatar. Because it was liquid. It was not perfume, it was a lotion without alcohol even.

I have carried Perfume and aftershave in and out of the kingdom with me without problem.
They used to take it off you back in the day, as well as mouthwash if it contained alcohol, but these days they are less stringent

Are you saying that mouthwash is astringent?

Bringing perfumes when you travel with you is okay.

However having any liquid shipped into KSA is a problem. It will get stopped at customs.

You can bring lotion, shampoo, perfumes etc no problem, you need to put into Baggage not in hand carry...I brought to Qatar many items like this never faced any problem.

Liquids are not allowed to carry in hand carry bag.
