Despite high inflation and the lowest savings rate in the region, the UAE remains the most popular Gulf destination for expatriates.....
When your choice is Saudi, Iran, Bahrain, Iraq and Kuwait that's not saying much- especially when you consider that Qatar is looking much more attractive to a lot of multi-nationals.

You can polish a turd........

I'm surprised at how expensive Qatar is. Is it an expensive place to live or is it just that the salaries aren't very good?

I'm loathe to agree with anything TA5 says, just as a matter or prinicple, but this does read more like an advertisment than a report. Has anybody heard any word on a rent increase cap for 2007?

According to Time Out it will be addressed, with a new rent increase restricted to nearer 10%.

And pigs might fly.

Well, they are leaving the announcement a bit late- only a week to go until the end of the year. What if your lease is up on 1st Jan? Typical Dubai.
