Despite high inflation and the lowest savings rate in the region, the UAE remains the most popular Gulf destination for expatriates.....

Re: Pay and Inflation in the Gulf
I'm surprised at how expensive Qatar is. Is it an expensive place to live or is it just that the salaries aren't very good?
I'm loathe to agree with anything TA5 says, just as a matter or prinicple, but this does read more like an advertisment than a report. Has anybody heard any word on a rent increase cap for 2007?

Well, they are leaving the announcement a bit late- only a week to go until the end of the year. What if your lease is up on 1st Jan? Typical Dubai.
