Newly qualified teacher looking for advice...
Hi All,
Myself and my girlfriend are hoping to move out to Dubai / Abu Dhabi this year.
My girlfriend has just completed her Teaching Degree.
Can anyone give us some advice for teaching in middle eastern primary schools.
Will schools employ NQT's?
Can she complete her NQT in Dubai / Abu Dhabi?
Hows the best way for her to find employment? Contact schools direct or use an agency?
Any advice would be very helpful.
Thanks,
Chris & Michelle.

do a search, loads of stuff on here about teaching and then check out the TES website for vacancies etc. Good luck.

for starters, do a search, there have been loads of threads about teachers on here recently...
sure some others will then be able to give you some more specific advice...

You continually post about how crap Dubai is.
If you don't like living here why don't you sod off and live somewhere else?
Your anti Dubai rhetoric for someone living here by choice is a joke.

I've been away for some time now and I see that some idiots are still wandering around. One member here used to tell me "beggars can sometimes be choosers", if people like LH suffocate in Dubai or anywhere else, I'm pretty sure we can pay for your ticket back home

Hey - I qualified as a primary school teacher last year and have been completing my probationary year here in Scotland. Iv been looking to work away somewhere different and in partictular Dubai and found a job advertised on the TES website. Went for an interview and been offered the job! So moving out at the end of August i think. All iv been doing is searching online for info, emailing people from teh school now that i have the job and speaking to people who have been to/lived in Dubai too... Search the TES i think...or try teachanywhere.com ...They help a lot!

Thanks very much.
I have been looking on the net loads but alot of the advertisements i've seen require at least 2 yrs experience.
I have applied for a few so fingers crossed...
If anybody sees any local advertisements then can you please post the details.
Thanks!
