I did try renting in apartments, but they seem to be reserved only for families as they dont seem to like single guys living in family residential apartments. Villa is new and self contained and privacy is assured.

Yes I think it would be nice to have a expat get together.

Like you am new to Riyadh. Just found a furnished apartment in Olaya which has saved me the need to buy furniture! But you have to put up with someone else's idea of decorating . . :unsure:
Guess I can live with it for a while, but I'm interested in the new villa approach. Sounds like it could be a good solution. But wherever, it seems that you could spend a lot of time looking at the paint (what there is of it in my case!) on the walls if you're not careful. So I would also welcome some kind of get-together.
Any ideas?
