My sponsor booked us a return ticket when we arrived the first time in Saudi. They recommended that we don't use the return so one can always have a leg back. In fact they don't issue but return tickets. How long are you thinking of staying in Riyadh?

An open ended return ticket, how does that work is it like a voucher where you exchange it for a plane ticket

Hi There,

Its simply an open return ticket. Our travel agent said I could used it at anytime, to go back home or change it to another route its up to me. The idea is that when you complete your contract - the single return ticket will be the one to use. I think.

I think that you'll find that the return ticket has a maximum validity of 365 days, which corresponds to the IATA regulations. There is no such thing as an indefinite open-end ticket

Hey guys,

Just found this forum and looks to be full of useful info - I just replied to a different thread about compounds and socialising and I'm also wondering HOW to register at the UK embassy. Ive heard that its only possible on a Thursday???

Anyone feel free to PM me here as i would be good to meet folks from across the board in Riyadh in the same boat!!
