New In Jeddah
Hello Everyone!
Me and my friend are new 24 year old British teachers in Jeddah. Can anyone give me any tips on meeting people?
Many Thanks
Cally

Re: New In Jeddah
Hi and welcome to The Bored.
One of the ways most newcomers get out there is to join up with the local Hash House Harriers. THis is a group of people who meet usually every weekend for a drive into the desert and then go for either a walk or run, depending on how fit you are.
THe Jeddah one has a facebook page:
http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=14057243894
so have a look and get in touch with the organiser. If it's still the same chap, he will get in touch and give you the details of the next meeting and add you to the email distribution list. You didn't mention if you're male or female, so driving maybe an issue. You may be able to arrange a lift with someone.
Otherwise, get yourself invited to the British Consulate do's they have every now and again, good way to meet people.
Living on a compound also helps in getting to meet others.
Good luck.
