We have been informed by the Passport Authority of the following:-

* All Foreigners over the age of 18 who are applying for Exit/Re- entry permits will need to supply their fingerprints as part of the process.
* The same applies to renewal of Iqamas and the official documents.
* Business visitors and those already holding Exit/Re-entry permits will not at this stage be required to submit fingerprints.
*You should contact your employer/sponsor for more information on how to do this.

Just a quick update from the embassy.!!

If you have been already fingerprinted and the Saudi Passport Office records show that, then there will be no requirement for fingerprinting when leaving the Kingdom for good. However, if you were not fingerprinted at all and leaving the Kingdom on an Exit only visa, then you would be required to undergo the process.

So this just for newbies coming into KSA.

Aye. Airport the last few weeks has been horrible cos the fingerprinting system is so slow. Colleague took over 2 hours to get through the other week. It's making me want to fly Saudia again - the international foreign airline terminal seems worse.
