New Bypass Thingy
Just travelled back from the East Coast and decided to try the by-pass running parallel with Emirates Road which runs from near Sharjah Cement. What a pleasure it was! Four lanes each way except only two each way for the last 2kms. Until recently it had been down to one lane only. Now a much better alternative to getting stuck around National Paints for half an hour.

The have also opened Dubai By Pass Road now (maybe an extension of the same road). It runs from Sharjah'ish right through to DIP parallel with Emirates Road and the Lahbab highway and means Mirdif to Jebel Ali in 40mins even in the rush hr.... Nice...
