Hi all,
As the title says, need to see a doctor soon but have no idea where to go.
I tried phoning Hamad general hospital but they just put me on hold and then hung up. Found a website for a place called West Bay Health Centre, but amazingly they don't actually have a map or address on their website.
Also, I don't have a health card yet as visa process/RP process is being excruciatingly slow. Hopefully a 5 minute GP visit and a course of antibiotics won't break the bank!
So, does anyone know where this West Bay clinic is, and do you know if I'm going to have to pay shitloads to see a GP?

Hope this helps. A visit to a Good Pharmacy is also worthwhile, for simple Aches, Pains, Coughs and Colds - It also saves the GP's Fee.

You can turn up at the Hamad for treatment but there will be a wait of course as with all major hospitals .

I use http://www.qatarmedicalcentre.com/index.php , bog standard clinic that will solve minor issues .

Just turn up pay the money and bill your company , there is no excuse for them not getting your RP sorted and you should have a private medical card plus the national hospital health card as well .

rub some aftershave or cologne on it, the spots will clear in a few days

Thanks all, turns out I could just buy prescription antibiotics from the pharmacy without a prescription. I guess there are upsides to being in a developing country!

You should have picked yourself up some 600mg Diazepam as well , works wonders during Ramadan .
