I read an article (Legal news) that foreign judgments are not enforceable in the UAE.

Jim Berry Associates, I don't know their phone number but you can email Jim on berry at emirates.net.ae.

I am sure your divorce has to be heard in the courts of the country where you married.

It is possible to get divorced here, in fact it`s a lot faster than back in the UK. If you do choose that route, you then need to get the Divorce Decree attested and translated into the language of choice, which will then be recognised in your country of origin. UAE law is much more lenient towards women, contrary to popular belief, the man must support his family, pay for the house, car, school fees, maid etc. If a man breaks a court order here, then he`ll be in deap trouble.
If you use a UK lawyer, things will be reasonably quick as long as your spouse does/can not contest the Divorce. This process will take around 6 months.

He has to pay for the MAID, wow, that is a good one!!!!
Wouldn't publicize that in Europe or the US, the women will be flocking over here!
