Moving to Saudi
Hi we are a British couple coming to Saudi as ESL teachers.
We have been asked for our choices we have both seen the bright lights of Riyadh and visited Jeddah..not sure which location to choose. The agency has suggested that we go to Dammam as the accommodation is of the highest quality..beach facing etc
We also have a two year old so looking for a good nursery.
We are friendly sociable couple looking to make friends etc
Any tips suggestions much appreciated.

I use to be with Dow Jones Indexes in the GCC, been to KSA several times. be a great opportunity to specialize as a business english tutor..or just to get back into the region and see what life brings me!?

See where you have family or friends first. Else choose Dammam then Jeddah then Rio deal Riyadh. Dammam is by far easier for accommodations. Good Intl Schools are tough to get for older kids but not an issue for a 2 yr old. Jeddah is nice if you're Muslim.

Alas, I'm in Rio de Riyadh.
It's really not all that bad if you are with your family, don't drink and have a low-stress job with a good employer

Yes I have had some good times in Riyadh..holding court at The Four Season every now and again!! Alas those were the days!!
It was so easy to socialise etc had a great time!
I am sure we will be in Riyadh for a few days before we find out where we are going etc
Be good to meet up for a coffee etc if and when you are free.

Hello
Would be keen to know on which city you choose on! My husband will be moving to Jeddah in 2 months, but will be commuting to Rabigh daily. I am keen on a British compound, just so we meet like minded people. It is very important that we are near good schools, my only requirements are less commuting time for my husband, an excellent school for my 19 month old, and a social compound life (not much then!)
