Moving from Dubai to Bahrain
Hi Guys,
Hubby and I are looking for your advise.
Currently we are working in senior position in Dubai , when we relocate to Bahrain then we will become a single income family. I am not able to get more information on the norm expats package.. so really want your advise if we are on the right mind set , package will be around 4K BD ( 40k AED ) exclusive housing allowance ( what's the average? Company pay in full ? ) , family insurance , travel allowance? Hubby is in construction industry
I am also due to give birth in June. Which private hospital and ObG will you recommend ?

It is my husbsnd's job. He is a German national, received a civil engineering master degree from Munich Uni. 3 years as a BD in Germany then moved to Dubai as a regional BD in an international company and 2 years as a Managing partner in a local company in Dubai.

all I can tell you is that if that salary is on top of a housing allowance and insurance, you could easily manage on it in Bahrain.
But we don't know if you like eating beluga caviar and owning a private jet so it's hard to say for sure.

Consumer Prices Including Rent in Dubai are 62.91% higher than in Bahrain
Rent Prices in Dubai are 141.47% higher than in Bahrain
Restaurant Prices in Dubai are 29.23% higher than in Bahrain
Groceries Prices in Dubai are 13.50% higher than in Bahrain
Local Purchasing Power in Dubai is 15.52% higher than in Bahrain
Over all Dubai is expensive than Manama, Bahrain.
If you trying to relocate it will be a nice decision.

Recommend you get onto the Mums in Bahrain website or Facebook page for info regarding Obgyn and schools. The ladies there are very helpful.
