hey buddy mom :) I am arriving somewhere between getting a job offer and being sponsored to not working til i get there and hubby sponsoring me in the next 90 days. We will look into buying a boat and keeping it in Abu Dhabi.. that would be a very nice boat ride to take it to Dubai and spend our free time there. Anyone know of any great boat sales ? We want something in the 32ft range.

Check out dubizzle.com or souq.com. for a rough estimate of boat prices. Souq is like ebay sort of, dubizzle is online classifeieds. A popular boat here is Gulf Craft. They make a hull, and you can tailor it to your needs. There are many oat dealers in Abu dhabi and Dubai. Don't know if you want new or used. Financing is readilly available through your bank also. I am an avid boat person, so would be glad to help in that respect.

SOUNDS AWESOME ! we will definitely be looking as soon as we are able to buy. Looking for something in the 32ft range, used. no more than 5 years old or so depending on the condition. I will begin looking :) Thanks for the links. Mike so far has found the mall LOL. He and the other pilots he works with and worked with before ( about 6 of them ) have been looking around in between the hours and hours of paperwork, setting up banking etc. He really wants a villa for the pets sake and talking to some of the other guys about us sharing a pretty large one if we can find one. If not, we will hopefully have the boat to escape on :)

hang on now.. i can be in costa rica too LOL.. never been . Only been to Mazatlan and Cabo and I hear Costa Rica is awesome ! Will you be vacationing or working or both ?

Vacation.........definately. I haven't worked since I got here. No work for my line of expertise. Boats!!
I have never been to Mexico, but have been to Costa Rica 8 or 9 times. Haven't been for about 10 years, it looks like it has developed a LOT!!!! Can't wait though, I leave at 1 am:thumbup:

boat berths either in dubai or ad dabs are rarer than houses! you are best buying a boat that is trailable.

I agree, a pal of mine recently bought a boat they wanted to buy new but couldn't due to the lack of berths available. They bought secondhand just to get a berth. And it aint cheap either!

Yup, tis me:D Life has gotten infinitely better here for me. After 6 , long, hot,weeks of the MIL and step son from hell being here, I am more than ready for a month in Costa Rica with my BFF from Texas. Bring it on:thumbsup: You have a safe trip back, hope all is well with you and yours.

Well i am looking so forward to getting there ! Hubby has called me 2 or 3 times a day missing me and telling me all his ventures and what all he has seen so far in al ain. We're definitely going to have to work hard on finding a boat ! Hope your vacation goes great buddymom! You have to try out Mexico. Cabo is my fav. We have an awesome condo through wyndham down there and have also been to Mazatlan. I miss Cabo and can't wait to go back. Our next trip is possibly Brazil. Hubby has a co pilot with a condo on the beach there and said we're able to use it anytime we want. We definitely want to take advantage of our location being in the UAE to get to Austrailia, Egypt ( i have no desire, he does) and Fiji. Let me know as soon as you get back buddymom !!!
