Maid's visas in Dubai
We live in Dubai. I employed a maid in November who was on a visit visa. She flew to Kish and whilst she was there I processed her employment visa. I paid a total of AED12500 plus AED1500 for the whole process.
Due to me the current economic crisis and me losing my job we do not need a full time maid any more. We are also forced to move into a studio or 1 bed apartment which will not have a maids room. She needs accommodation.
Her visa hasnt been finalised as yet as she still needs to do her medicals. Her current visa has to be converted to an employment visa before 20 January.
What can I do so that I dont lose all the money I have spent?
Can I transfer her visa to another employer?
Should I not process her medicals I have been told that I can cancel her visa and then get a refund of some of the money but don't want to do this as it would mean she would have to exit the country and return to the Phillipines.
She is a lovely mature lady and I care about her well being and future so dont want to put her under stress.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

I'm sorry to hear about this, and it is lovely that you are showing so much compassion for your maid.
You will get some good advice here, but I would maybe try EW also.
