Seriously, MH - put down a saucer (or something that's not too big for them to crawl up and into).........
.......... and fill it with beer. NOT lager-style 'fizzy' or 'gassy' stuff (they won't touch that), but more of the English-ale-style flatter stuff........
They can't resist it.......... drink themselves to death. No they don't get pissed (or if they do, that's NOT what kills them) - they just gorge themselves.

Dont keep cardboard boxes in the house, they love to hide in them and also lay their eggs. Dont stand on them to kill them particularly the females as they carry their eggs/babies on their backs. I dont know which is which so dont stand on any of them. Also clean places from top to bottom where they have been found as their eggs look like little bits of grit and can be mistaken for food stuffs. They like warm damp areas so check for lots of moisture anywhere

Never used the deodrant, but I do use my hairspray on the spiders.As they are trying to run away they just stiffen up and get slow enough for you to jump on.....handy hint of the day!
