Re: Lockdown
I learned a lot from this post. It was made in a Wuhan lab, it'll burn itself out (like other natural flu's, hopefully they engineered that into it), we're back to looking for herd immunity, it'll become inconsequential even though people will still die from it and second wave is going to hang back until winter to reappear.
Thank goodness for you and you're all-knowing mind.

My advice would be to pick. Either be funny, annoying (devilishly good looking) and rarely taken seriously like me or try and be sensible, informed and reasonable.

Re: Lockdown
Hey, we all have to call out bullshit that doesn't fit my selective narrative when we see it. You can't act like some sort of great mind and authority whilst using phrases like 'Wuhan lab bat flu'. No humour allowed, even if the former head of MI6 claimed it and both EU and US have criticised the Chinese for being deliberately vague and obstructing the search for the origin of the virus.
My advice would be to pick. Either be funny, annoying (devilishly good looking) and rarely taken seriously (aka prat) like me (but remember, no humour allowed!) or try and be sensible, informed and reasonable. As long as it doesn't challenge my narrative and safe space.

Re: Lockdown
It's a question a lot of us have, be it for Saudi, Qatar or elsewhere. I'm not sure what restrictions are in place on entry to Kuwait, Bahrain, UAE or Oman. A sensible guess might suggest another 2-3 months based on the rate of progress. Unless you have the appropriate wasta to get admitted any time sooner.

Things opening up for Dubai. Maybe a sign of what other places in the region might do. Maybe not.

What's your situation re salary? We've got one guy who is stuck in the US. They paid him until his vacation allowance was used and then stopped paying him, but I believe he can still come back without any problems reentry wise.

Re: Lockdown
The Florida versus New York is a perfect example. The Republican Florida governor was roasted over coals for being late to shutdowns and early to reopen and there were plenty of dire predictions of COVID-19 running rampant through the gazillion care homes and retirement communities in Florida, which has the largest concentration of elderly people in America. The governor was accused for having blood on his hands by established media figures. But the surges never materialised.
