Living off compound in Riyadh
Folks
The company I am starting with is having real issues locating a compound - my first thought it that I can't take the job without compound accommodation, for my wife's well-being, that said is anyone living off compound? Any thoughts & suggestions would be most welcome.

I know of Westerners happily living off compound (and saving a fortune). BUT they are people who have been here a while and have already built up a social network through work, or compound living. Starting out as a couple living off-compound will initially be tough on your wife.

I think they are looking but the availability is poor. We'll see - it likely requires a bit of wasta.
