Living as a bachelor in Doha

Re: Living as a bachelor in Doha
You don't want to live in Doha period. Not as a bachelor or anything else, EVER.
Don't mean to be rude or condescending, just hoping you will save yourself the grief.
Oh, the cost of a small and probably crappy apartment would approx be 7000 QR.Per month.

The eternal boredom of the by now exasperated mind!!!!!
No, really, don't do it to yourself.
There is NOTHING in Doha that is even slightly appealing.
If you want to do it for the money, well, be prepared there is really nothing to do here but work, sleep and endure.
You will make A LOT of cyberfriends tho.
If you want in depth info, let me know.
I hope you'll change your mind tho, don't wish Doha on anybody.

Re: Living as a bachelor in Doha
I had the misfortune of spending a couple of nights there whilst DH was working on a project. Compared to Dubai, there is really nothing to do.
I think Novita is on hols so she can tell you lots about Doha as she has lived there for a few years. But she has a family there which is different.
I think as LL says, as a batchelor, you would find it very boring.

Qataris are a lot more down to earth than Emiratis so you may actually find it a more rewarding experience.
I'd give it a go.
