I sometimes feel like a grumpy old man stuck in a 32yr old's body, I hope that doesn't insult you though.

When I once asked a much older friend what was the best thing about getting old he thought for a while and then replied "Absolutely nothing!"

I can only speak for the routes I fly, but generally speaking South Asians, Egyptians, Filipinos etc get larger luggage allowances, pretty much double. This is with Gulf. They changed their allowances a couple of years back.

Because of this when they travel they're taking boxes of things which look like freight. I do the same. Since my family left in I'm the process of emptying a house trip by trip. Boxes are lighter than a bag so you can get more in. I don't travel with any clothes at all seeing how I have some at my destination. I do around 50kg a trip which would be my economy allowance, or 90 kg if business.

One of my best purchases was a set of scales to weigh luggage. Can go right up to the limit. Never worry about weight checking in again.

I like being a bit older. It wasn't until I was 30 that I felt like an actual adult and do adult things like call out poor behaviour or feel that I belonged at certain work tables / discussions etc.

Agreed. It was too inconsistent to stand on the scales and weigh me, then again holding each case.

Printing in the office would work for the outbound leg - as long as the luggage is packed and weighed before one leaves work (which for our office can be several days between our last shift and actually flying!). However not so easy to pop back to the office to print a label for the return flight......
I travel with maximum luggage every time, for various reasons, so your theory of personal possessions has failed I'm afraid. I just don't have a prin ter cos I don't need one, and I don't have scales cos I know I'm fat, its down to my medication, I don't need it confirmed by an inanimate object

My Horse tells me he ran in to your broom down at the stables, apparently your light as a feather with a shapely derrière. He then preceded to rant on about some fictional saddle bag I’ve been carrying around.
PS.. If the broom tries to have you back Fairyhose at Haydock Park don’t do it, that bloody horse knows nothing about flat racing.
