One of my collegue from UAE got (AED23000 per month) job in UAE (plus car and accomodation). He was working in US on $110K per year. Is it a good decision to move to UAE (considering huge savings in UAE [low inflation etc.])? UAE is tax free (so I suppose huge savings) and USA have tax.I heard UAE (Dubai) is very modern country and better than USA (in terms of jobs,life, work culture, high salaries and savings).UAE salaries are comparible to US salaries.

My friend is working as IT professional.Anybody from Dubai (UAE) who can compare USA and UAE?

He/she would have to pay US income taxes if he is a US citizen, but he/she would obviously get that back in the form of Social Security and maybee Medicare.

Since normally the salaries and savings are higher in UAE approx AED23000 to AED40,000 per month (plus benefits), I suppose it should not be too much problems.

Not in the UAE myself..but if you compared a camel to grizzly bear, you'd probably be close.

1 of my american friends out here says he gets his first $90 000 tax free, only taxed on whatever he eearns above that.
