Default Legalization of birth certificate by UAE embassy

I've just received my residence visa and now want to start the process of sponsoring my wife and daughter's applications.

Our daughter is a Nigerian passport holder and we've been requested to have her birth certificate notarized, attested by the Nigerian Ministry for Foreign Affairs and then legalized by the UAE embassy.

We sent the birth certificate off to my wife's sister in Abuja and the notarization and attestation by the ministry have been done, but it turns out that we've been given bad information, and that there isn't a UAE embassy in Nigeria.

Does anyone know if it will be acceptable to have the certificate sent to the UAE embassy in London, and get it done there?

The UAE currently allows legalisation via third party but the UAE embassy in London, "is not able to legalise foreign documents."

You could email them, "[email protected]" to confirm where you can get your documents legalised.

Just heard back from the UAE embassy in London.

Seems that we have to take the birth certificate to the UAE embassy in Cairo to be legalised
