Question Job Opportunity in Riyadh

Het Guys, i may not be a brit, but i found your forum discussions very useful, i have a job opportunity in Ryiadh, & i was hoping i'd find someone to tell me about life there, i have 2 compunds offered to me on the job offer for accomodation, Al Fal Compound & Al Yamamah Compound, i would love to see fotos of them, & know more about them as i could not find any data on the internet, been told that they are an "A" category compunds, but not "A+", though i dont know what would that mean!! will be getting a 2 B/R villa there, so can anybody tell me how much would that cost, & if i can get a better compund villa @ the same price, in addition i am looking for an A++ category school for my son, which one would that be, & how much would it cost p.a.

i would appreciate anyanswers as you can see, i am totally confused, & there are not enough data about KSA & riyadh on the internet.
Thank you

A category compound typically means it has decent pools, supermarket facilities and security, A+ normally mean extra facilities such as bowling alleys, squash courts, tennis courts etc...oh, and the Saudi national guard in tanks at the main gate.

All compounds stop and search cars for bombs, weapeons and to ensure Arabs do not enter the western compounds, but the A+ ones have sniffer dog, Armoured personnel carriers and half track tanks parked around the perimeter.

Hope you enjoy your time in Saudi

BTW, there is a ton of stuff on KSA here.

As an Arab muslim you should not have too many problems.

The main difference is lifestyle and the strict interpretation of Islam which differs from other countries.

ALL shops close during prayer time, Fasting is strictly observed and there is not a great deal of choice with social activities.

you know, basically my wife is vailed, (upon her choice of course, i myself am a social drinker, not much of an islam practicer) but on the other hand, she dose not like the idea of face cover, & i am not sure if that is compalsory or not, is it?! on the other hand, she's an outgoing perosn, loves social life & lots of friends & outings, i know that in order for me not to be frowned at, i have to keep her happy, & i dont know if i can do that in such conditions that i hear about, however, i have seen some bloggers who stated that life in riyadh, though have its cons, but it is also a nice place to be in, specially if you are living in a nice compound. so, i am trying to collect as much data bout life there.
you never said, is that you on yahoo answers?
