Default Iqama & Health Insurance

I recently heard that those responsible for acquiring the Iqama for me are also legally obliged to get me health insurance.

Can I ask is this true and if so does anybody know where I can find it written down online so I can prove it.

Yes that is true. In fact as far as I know, they will not issue an Iqama unless a health insurance number is there and confirmed by the agent such as Bupa.

Yes, it is written in labour law.
They observe this law in the same way like all other laws. (Traffic laws, for example).
You have your health insurance if you have document in your hands with your name printed in it. I got it after almost one year spend in Kingdom.
