Hi everyone,

Im moving out to Dubai from the UK in July and had a few questions

1. Who are the main ISP's as i have a laptop and would like to use it?
2. How much are they a month?
3. Also the same 2 questions but about pay-as-you-go phones

There are two ISPs, but you don't really have a choice as to which one you use. As Bob says, it's all down to where you live; in some places you can only use Du, some places you can only use Etisalat. Du is slightly better than Etisalat because it's largely uncensored at the moment, but that seems to be changing.

Much more expensive than the UK, and you get a much poorer service in return. No idea about Etisalat (check their website), but Du will relieve you of nearly £50 per month for a 2Mb connection that you'll be lucky to get 700k from.

2Mb is currently the fastest you can get anywhere in Dubai. For a supposed IT hotspot, it would be funny if it wasn't so ridiculous.
