Well the inevitable has happend, and my client has signed a contract, however it will mean i am off to Saudi for 6 months.
As of yet, i am unsure if the client will insist on me being on-site through-out the engagement or whether i can fly back at weekends.
They may even let me gather the required information and work from Dubai, but i doubt this very much.
So im going to have to take a leave of abscence from the site, as the quicker i complete my work the quicker i can come back 2 dubai.
Id like to apologise to the people i have let down recently. I have been so busy getting everything ready that i have had to make certain sacrifices elsewhere, and for that i am sorry.
I have been so worked up about going that I have been a bit of a nightmare....sorry guys.
Anyway, if my hotel has Internet i'll try to sign on in the evenings to catch up.
Regards
JD

Hey buddy,
We both know it's no picnic. Keep you head low and your backside covered. We'll miss you. Stay away from Faisaliah and Al Mamlaka; dangerous places!

Stay safe dude. Hopefully you can roll back in here often, i'm pretty sure air arabia has regular flights from Jeddah.
I had a friend here for the last few days, her brother came from Riyadh. Apparently its already hot as hell there, way more than here, but he said its a dry heat (no humidity) so more like having a heat lamp on your face than being in a sauna like dubai. He kept complaining how hot it was the last couple of days, yet said it was 45 degrees when he left riyadh.

The problem is Jeddah is coastal so it has the same humidity as Dubai
,But the diving there is very cheap and has some of the best dive sites in the world, so i can finish off my Advanced open water and dive master courses while i am there !
Gonna stick with Emirates i think..company are paying the flights home and i could do with the skyward miles !
