if you want to save money come to Abu Dhabi and enjoy a quiet social life
most of the activities can be done in Abu Dhabi too.
if you need to enjoy Dubai there are always week ends
dubai is very crowded and if you ended living little bit away from your work it will take you about 1 to 1 and half hourse to reach work each direction.
you will hate it believe me.
whereas, in Abu Dhabi.. it will take you 15 minuts to reach your work.
i wouldn't want to move to dubai no unless they will give me 3 times the salary i am getting in Abu Dhabi
safe trip

But i do go to dubai every weekend..
best of both worlds.....

As I read in one comparative review recently "Abu Dhabi is the Steak, whereas Dubai is the sizzle". There is definately a lot more of a frantic hip buzz about Dubai and it is great fun, but I really like Abu Dhabi because:
1. It is far easier and quicker to get around
2. The social life is very good, although places to meet are begining to get crowded
3. Everything you need is here
4. There is a lot about to happen in Abu Dhabi - it is just starting... check www.abudhabi.ae and look at their urban development plan Abu Dhabi 2030
5. You are more likely to connect with locals in Abu Dhabi - either at work or socially
6. They have started offshore beach parties on Fridays
7. Fantastic Corniche - great in cooler months
8. Dubai is only 1 hour away when you get fed up
