Fascinating stats about hotel occupancy, and Chinese tourists, etc.......
You may have to register at ft.com to read it, but it's free and only takes about 30 seconds. Worth it, as they often have some very good articles about all sorts of stuff...........

I'd heard about the Chinese tourists thing. I have some friends who live on the Shoreline Apartments on the Palm and of late their supposedly "private" beach has been inundated by Chinese tourists as a result of some side deals with inland based hotels.

So what does it say? Tried registering but they insist on a post code. What is that? Also, the free thing only relates to news alwerts. You have to pay to read the paper on-line it seems.
