But the photo only shows your face, silly buggers. Jasmine was supposed to wear National Dress to school earlier this month, but the alternative was wearing the colours of the UAE flag. She chose that instead.

Basically, if you're Somali, Yemeni, etc don't try to look like a UAE citizen.

Officially- no. A lot of people get very touchy about this.
Apparently some use their appearance to get away with stuff.
I know a lot of drivers dress up to look the part- and it does work, and it does make a difference.
Appearance does matter.
