ID Cards
Lost track of whats happening with the ID cards.
As a Western Expat whens the lastest date we have to get them sorted.

Commander says you will never need one. Personally, I'm waiting for my residence visa to be renewed in September as the ID card only lasts as long as your visa.

Everyone will need one - its the law. The problem/delays have been with capacity to process the sheer volume. For "professional expats. the last date extension reported in the press was the end of this year. Can't be bothered looking, but you might find it on their official website:

sure it is hassle getting an appointment and taking time to get your application done, but once it is done, it is one less thing to worry about...

Och been a bitty busy - and on hols
I mean simple failure to complete/process all applications by the deadline...consequence of which will be another extension....perhaps. who knows. I have mine so "not bothered" really.
