Yep i know its a stupid question but I am thinking of popping over in August for a holiday and a bit of business at the same time. Is it too hot to even sunbath though?

There are wrinkly, leather-skinned europeans who sun-bathe here year-round.
If 45C @ 90% humidity is ok for you - then enjoy!

Aug/Sept is absolutely the wrong time to visit, if you have other options.
Dubai's population drops 50% in the summer time for good reason.

Its fine to come for a break then as long as you are just relaxing and hanging out by a chilled pool....... not a good time to come if you want to go of in to the desert....... The hotels are pretty busy now as it is a cheap time to come and you can get some good deals.............

So as I said if you just want to relax or stay inside its fine...............

Burpus the reason all the expats leave is that the Kids are on Hols for two months!!! so its perfect time to go and annoy grandparents and relatives... plus you find that now a days more and more people stay or just go away for a short holiday..............

Sat by a chilled pool sounds ideal to me! Thanks for your help!

Today has been bloody hot. Makes a nice change though from the recent rains and violent thunderstorms we have had in recent days.

I think it hit 92 F here today maybe more.

I wish it was 92 F here its at least 110 F already this morning.......... :scared:
