Housing - Rent - Kuwait
Hi All,
First of all I am new to this site so I do hope someone can help me. I am looking for information about the housing situation in Kuwait.
1) What are the nice areas to live in?
2) How much should I be paying for a 2 bed near the British Council?
3) Anyone know the new website for AAA Housing as the one listed on other pages does not work?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Housing - Rent - Kuwait
You may already have a list....but here are some real estate company tel nos:

(google for websites)
I lived in Kuwait many years ago and initially rented an apartment in Salwa through Frost Real Estates (I would recommend them as a starting point). Salwa was a popular area with expats then - 10mins drive into the City. Then I moved to Messilah (beachside resort) further along the coast - 30mins into the City.
Salmiya is on the coast with shopping malls/marina/restaurants/schools etc.
From memory areas predominantly occupied by "locals" were Hawalli, Fahaheel and Mahboula.
Then it was a renters market, but I am not so sure now. Rents were negotiable. Choose an apartment with covered parking and check the vicinity for the nearest mosque (an early morning prayer call is pants!:curse
I wish you luck!
