I'm trying to get an angle on expat salaries, hence the 100k start, are you saying there are expats earning less than 100k AED per annum, I wouldn't
have though than doable from the messages I've had recently...

Bear in mind that pretty much everyone is expatriate...the only non-expats are the Emiratis who don't get a salary as such.

I'm slowly realising that I've fallen at least once into the trap of thinking of expats as being affluent, white Westerners. If that's the case then what's the correct word to describe the poorer, dark-skinned expatriate population...bachelors, i suppose?

Oh by the way I heard it was raining in the south east but the Lakes, Wales etc was gorgeous. That true?

Not me, but DH does .. so I guess I have to pick the latter. The poll should really be done per month and with different bandings to gain a more accurate synopsis.
