Default GM, PA and Sales Mngr salaries

Sorry, I'm sure this has been asked before..But, I am looking to recruit a GM, Regional Sales Manager and very good PA/Office Manager/Secretary for a start up franchise of a global maufacturing co. specialising in contract furniture for the 5* hotel market. We currently turn over in excess of £1million a year in the ME and my question is: How much should we be offering for the above positions assuming we can recruit locally based Europeans?
Any help would be much appriciated.

Hi

Is that the basic, plus housing, etc etc

Even with the extras, I would say if you want Europeans you will pay more than that

Agreed - although I like the idea of paying the PA more than the Sales Manager. Says it all.

Why not pay the PA more than the General Manager...Make it PM; Private Manager...

Communicate Magazine did a survey recently which put the average salaries for advertising, marketing etc kind of in that range - the GM could be on more I'd think though...

Depends on your set up and the skill set / experiance / local knowladge needed I'd guess.

Is it still that common for the housing allowance etc?

Take a look at www.kershawleonard.net which will give you a good idea of salaries for PA/Office Managers. For a Westerner you are looking at around 18-20k. If you want to use an agency they will be able to help you.

If you recruit locally, you can save yourself a small fortune. I don't know too many Indians, Filipinos or Lebanese earning more than AED 15K...also, you may find that South Africans are a little cheaper than Europeans and generally more hard working.

Depends entirely on qualifications and the university! I know a lot of Indians who are on AED 75k+ a month, but then they are very well educated (from the top universities in India)........

My husband has Filipino staff earning more than that ... I best have words with him ... I could be losing out on lots of pairs of shoes!!!

Despite having lots of lovely SA friends I would beg to differ about them being harder workers than Europeans ... I think some of them would gladly put their hands up and admit to being lazy gits!
