I retract any comments I have ever made about silver foxes. Any ideas I had of older men being hot have just been shot down! Back to the young whippersnappers it is! ;)
Used to live in a cottage with a big open fires in the kitchen and had a young lady who wanted to jiggy in front of the fire on the sheepskin rugs. Of course I obliged but within 2 minutes the knees were shot and she had to be hoofed onto the kitchen table to give the joints a rest whereas when younger I would have driven through the pain. Now I couldnt be bothered attempting such nonsense. Shaggin old men is strictly for the Flippers and Thais |

Re: Getting or feeling OLD for the guys only
Being old is also a state of kind, combined with how you generally behave in front of people.
There is a couple who were my friends at College back in '76-'79. As soon as they got married they turned into George and Mildred, behaving like a middle aged couple in the way they dressed and behaved. They stopped drinking as much, they went to bed earlier etc etc. it was quite sad to watch. If you retain a good sense of humour (albeit slightly more cynical humour than before) and have a sprightly demeanour both in mind and body, it helps. Mind you, I went speedkarting this summer with my son and ended up in a heap in the tyre wall with 2 cracked ribs and muscle tears (lats). Maybe a decision too far! |

I agree it can be a state of mind, it's like turning 40, it's not that bad and illness can afflict at any age. I am determined to get my back sorted and get back to pretending I am 30 again :)

I'm 49 and it's all going south. All par for the course.. getting older.
Bought a 1978 Moto Guzzi 850 Le Mans back in March and passed my Day Skipper in July. Don't need viagra yet.. Not sure how the hip, shoulder and knees will react to the Guzzi though :) |

Re: Getting or feeling OLD for the guys only
The problem with nice car's I've found, is that they are perfectly suited for young and verile guys like myself, but only afforded by the old men with beer bellies and no pulling power... ><

Nice. Always wanted one, was never in the right place at the right time (or had enough dosh). It was going to be one of those or a Griso (or a Harley:unsure:) till the Commando came along. But it will depend on location--wouldn't consider bringing it out here (UAE), and currently not in UK long enough each year to make it worthwhile. And I want one before I'm too 'king decrepit to ride it.:(
I had to buy the Guzzi, the price of old Lemons is getting daft so I found a Guzzi guy in the UK and hounded him for a while until he sold me one of the ten or so he had kicking around his house. Funnily enough he's not married for some reason, must be the original V7 Sport Rosso that he has in the kitchen or the house packed to the rafters with broken 850's in boxes. His retirement fund apparently.. I've got the Le Mans with a restorer in the UK, should be ready at the end of this month. I'll put it into storage until I get back. Wanna see a pic? http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o...x/bikes/G1.jpg |
