Default Fishing in Doha

Hi
After a flurry of posting I haven't been on this forum for a while but in that time I have managed to secure a brilliant, I think, job within the new Women & Childrens hospital current under construction in Doha. Many thanks for the initial support I got from this forum as it certainly made things less complicated. I hope to be joining my wife who is already working in Doha by the end of February once all the attesting of documents is finalised etc. Really looking forward to the move and trying something different after too many years of playing it safe; if I don't do it now it will probably be too late!

So to my enquiry - I know that there will be lots of other pressing issues that need sorting but does anyone know if there is anywhere in Doha to buy better quality fishing tackle or should I buy it here and have it shipped over with my other stuff? Also if anyone knows of any good charter boats or places to fish from the shore it would also be most appreciated.

Many thanks again and wishing you all a Happy Holiday & Good 2013

Regards
Boyd

Plenty of fishing tackle shops. There are some just near Al Maidan just off the Corniche near the Movenpick. Also plenty of boats and fishing spots.

Thanks for the info gentlemen. I will surely be looking in on both of them if not the day I arrive then probably the day after!
