the first few months - shared flat?
I was wondering if anyone had any experience with a shared flat their first few months of arriving in Dubai?
I have a hotel paid-for in my first 2-3 weeks in Dubai - and being single in Dubai I am considering sharing (paying rent for) flat/villa/house for the first few months to get used to Dubai/meet people/live with other expats. I'd really appreciate any insight on flat sharing, leads (have been on gulf news but there are about a MILLION non-descriptive ads for flats and people looking for flatmates in the marina mostly. Specifically how would I find an expat with a professional flatshare(all mod cons, own bathroom, great view, pool, etc.) near to DIFC? Modestly, I'd be the idea flatmat - excellent cook, tend to have copious amounts of wine on hand, clean & tidy, massive music selection, spare time spent in the gym or on the beach in the sun... Thanks! R (canukabroad) & LOL as I re-read this post. |

thanks MM - I'll see what ins has to say.

Thanks! R (canukabroad) & LOL as I re-read this post. the best two places to look are dubizzle.com and expatriates.com they both usually have plenty of rooms going in shared villas and apartments. a lot of which are for short term rent on a monthly basis. for DIFC i would recommend trying to find a room in a Villa Jumeirah or Umm Suqeim. both nice areas close to the beach and close to a lot of the nice bars/clubs etc. PM me if you want any more info Insel |

I have an accomodation allowance but its not great but wanted to be in an area which was a little resepctable. i dont know your full situation with regards to accomodation requirements but im after a summit in a vibrant area preferably with a gym so i can work off my christmas overload of quality street and carling. Im 24, male and single but i am a rubbish cook.
