Experience for Dubai

I am looking to get a Job in Dubai at the first oppertunity,
However I am only 20 and only have 2 Year's experience these are my 2 main issue,

Will my age work against me in applying for a Job in Dubai and also my Experience almost every job I view require's a minimum of 8 Year's experience.

Thanks in advance.

hi Science
Don't know what sort of job you are looking for, but without qualifications (ie degree) or experience, you are going to find it almost impossible to get a good job. And without a good salary, completely impossible to have a good lifestyle here...

I am a Health and safety Advisor Qualification's are NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, NEBOSH Specialist Diploma in Environmental Management, NEBOSH Fire Safety and Risk Management Certificate, NEBOSH Construction Certificate and 2 Year H&S advisory role in Rail/Construction related
Project's.

Hoping for a Health and Safety Advisory role in Dubai, Ideally in Construction however Oil and Gas industry also interest's me.

I believe my current qualification's are satisfactory to meet most Job's,

It's limited experience I am mostly concerned about.

From what Ive seen of construction sights here and in particular the number of fires I doubt they employ Health and Safety people ;)

Dubai Dry Docks do. Do a search on them and see what they are offering. I know a few lads who have worked in their Safety Dept over the years.

Good Luck

Re: Experience for Dubai

with those qualifications you should be looking for a HSE Managers position. In the oil construction companies i have experience with, only the manager is a western expat and the advisors are lesser paid fella's (he says diplomatically)

pm me and i can give you a few contacts within the oil sector (construction sites)

i.e Drydocks, Lamprell, Jray Mcdermotts, etc etc
