Emirates lounge: Ramadan lunch

Emirates lounge: Ramadan lunch
Anyone know if lunch is still served during Ramadan in the Emirates lounge?
I need to know if I need to eat in advance or not - I can't wait until the plane as I don't eat on planes.

before or after the six senses rub down?
Another thing did anyone catch that snippet on the radio about some islamic scholar saying ramadan was not only about fasting. Muslims have also to abstain from a number of other things during the holy month including 'lying'. The way it came out suggested it is OK to tell untruths the rest of the year.

Emirates Business is OK - at least their cheese board is always nice - and in First you can just choose to gorge yourself on caviar.
If you are on a really long flight, do you take your own packed lunch? I have visions of you sitting there unwrapping a jam sandwich, a penguin biscuit and a bag of crisps.

The answer is the same - I still believe that Emirates food is rubbish in all classes. The business section is rank and while I accept the stuff in first is marginally better - it is still not great.
Let me put it another way... on an 8 hour flight, the food is served after say 4 hours. It was loaded on the plane around an 1-2 hours before take off. That "fine food" you think you are eating was prepared 12-14 hours (at a minimum) before hand and has been overchilled, overheated and generally abused. Have you ever seen them prepare it in the little kitchens? Think M&S ready meals presented nicely... I don't eat them either.
So yes, I either pig out in the lounge first, or take an uppercrust sandwich on.

I love heir scones with Jam and cream. Best thing they serve by a mile. I fell asleep coming home and missed it and when I explained to the steward that I was unable to eat the goo they served for lunch as I was saving myself for the scone she bought me two- happy days

And that's not saying anything particularly good about the food on board... though I also end up knocking back caviar and champagne and not caring.
(Food in EK lounge in BKK is great; in HK not great; in LHR passable as long as they're serving the curry.)
