From your experience and what you have heard, will I have a problem bringing my 200+ DVD collection into Oman? No porn, honest

My experience of bringing about 2,000 CDs, 1,500 12" vinyl, 800 DVDs, 600 books and numerous data discs into UAE was.... easy. No hassle at all. None what so ever. As far as I know they were never checked. I helped pack them and the packing did not appear altered at all when they arrived.

Other people / examples maybe different.

Oman I believe is generally quite relaxed - however don't count on it - if you can ship with a reputable shipper and do it once you are already in the country and can be present when it arrives...

GB Liners in UK shipped it and Writers Relocation received it in Dubai. I receomend them both.

In the good old days we used to make sure that cd's were packed vertically so that when they went through the scanners they didn't obviously look like cd's!
They are more relaxed now but it may be worth splitting them across different boxes and if there are any you are particularly attached to bring them over at a later date.
