I thought the whole point about this thread was to hear the bad bits about Dubai, not get a balanced view?

Errr...keep things civil guys...harping on at each other ain't all that nice and if things can't be kept in an objective manner I'll close the thread, which will be a shame, seems like an interesting topic, lets just keep it to personal views, experiences and opinions and not slag anyone else off for them...there is the other thread about the good stuff to balance this thread out quite nicely.

I am convinced that many of us would be totally agreeing about all the points everyone is making. When we feel very strongly about something, we like to get that view across and go to greater measures to achieve it while during a discussion things would be kept simpler. Am I right, or am I wrong?

If u run someone over and don't kill them u have to pay their medical expenses until they are fit and u stay in the nick until they are fit. If u kill them u pay bllod maoney and get out of jail free in 24 hrs.
So watchout for wee chaps jmping infront of posh cars to get a wad of cash for their families.

I know one guy that was in jail for a week til the insurance people coffed up the blood money, and another who has done a six month strect because the worker he hit got a taste for the hospital food and decent air con.. apparently he had an undetectable back ache...that old chestnut.
In the mean-time the guy had to cover all his hospital costs...ouch
