VPNs are definitely the way to go. You can get Skype going through them as well, so you rapidly make your money back on international phone call savings.

I think Skype PC to PC is still working?! I haven't found any blocked sites yet, although sometimes sites take a few goes to get on to.

Well you could find a reliable person to set it up for you. failing that try using a web proxy to gain access although im not sure that it will go to the secure pages to well if at all.

But it has just occurred to me that the web proxies could help UAE habitants anyway. Depends on how good the filtering server is.

The powers that be often pick up on specific VPNs when mentioned on line, on this and many other fora. No idea if it was before, but kortaz is blocked now. If you have an answer, say you have it and let people PM you.
