yes - a work colleague said as much- just moved his son out of ACS into Park House - potentially even fewer school places for the rest of us waiting to bring our kids over to Doha

No, it is not closing. They had a problem with the renewal of the lease contract, but is seem to be solved for the next years.
Nevertheless, one problem remains: when an entire school system (the international schools here in Doha, that accommodate all the expats' kids) is on the hand of private business companies, whose primary interest is making business and not responding to a social need (education) these things happen. A school can be closed in a sudden because of money issues, no matter the workers, the students and the families, i.e. the reference community. This is why I am in favour of a public school system, managed by public authorities.
