Default Doha package - newbie here

Hi,

I wanted to get your expert advice on whether a package I have been offered is sufficient to live a good and comfortable life in Doha, Qatar.

2 adults, 6 year old and 1 year old would be moving.
Only me working.

Would need to rent a nice villa 3-4 bedroom.
Decent ish car.
Possibly odd weekday nanny (not live in)
Will go out to dine and trips here and there spend reasonably on enjoyment.
Key is also to be able to achieve savings and not just splash cash. Ideally at least half of earnings as savings.

Package:
QR 73,000 / month (inc allowances)
Plus full private school fees for children from age 4
Plus private medical, dental, optical

Grateful for your advice.

thanks !

It’s a very good package imo - of course it also depends on how it compares to your current pay/role. Check if there is a cap on school fees or limit on the number of kids. Also it’s good to check and be familiar with the salary basic % as that would drive your end of service package amount. May I ask what do you do and if you’re moving from the UK?
