I certainly would not choose to have a newborn here. From trusting healthcare down to the practical things like no feeding and changing facilities. I see nothing around Doha that makes it a baby friendly place.

O.K it looks like Doha is a bit of a no go-er. I've also got the possibility of a job later next year in Barbados, perhaps I'll devote some time to preparing for that (drinking rum etc!). Unless life in Doha is so good, and you lot are trying to keep it all for yourselves!??

hand on heart, I can't wait to leave Doha, HOWEVER..........
If you have small children you will probably love it. There's an endless supply of people with little kids, loads of nurseries and 'playdates' yuk, hate that bloody word. Off to Jungle Zone and off for a burger! Get on a compound and life will be complete. Anyone with kids over the age of 10 and the place is a cultural and social desert. What do you say LadyLou? lol :) |
