Default Doha home-schooling

Hi,
I am looking for parents experienced in homeschooling their kg1&2 kids in Doha.... or even planning to do it this year.
Need desperately some advice.
Thanks

Is your motive for home-schooling financial or educational?

Try enrolling them in something like Florida's Virtual School or Australia's School of the Air.

I don't know their policies on non-residents so you may have to pay tuition. Surely not more than you would pay for a middle flight private in Doha.

Thank you, I will check if they are accredited.
I am still hoping an answer from parents homeschooling their kids following the British curriculum or at least from the uk.

Florida's Virtual School and Australia's School of the Air are both parts of the government school system in the US and Australia, meant to serve students who don't live in traditional settings or who require something different.

I knew an American family who used this for homeschooling their kids.

http://www.calverteducation.com/

It has a great reputation in the US. It's not the British national curriculum but at the ages of your children I'm not sure if it makes a difference.

You could make contact with Home - Clonlara School

They may be able to put you in contact with others also using their (well respected) home-school program in Doha.

Thank you DXBtoDOH.

I found few British websites offering homeschooling, one of them used to be accredited i need to check again if it's always the case... we called them they were off ( week day, not a bank holiday) we left them a voicemail but we didn't get a call back.... I am a bit perplex about them!

their curriculum looks good, the reviews ( last one 2011) very positive.

That is why I need the opinion of someone who already went through this.

You might want to check on the legality of homeschooling first. It's my understanding that it is illegal or not covered by any regulation in some parts of the Middle East.
